- Grease a baking sheet and set it aside.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the dough into smaller halves.
- Using a rolling pin, roll the dough flat.
- Cut the dough into several smaller rectangular shapes.
- Place portions of the sausage meat onto the edge of the rectangular dough shapes.
- Roll the sausage dough with the meat inside.
- Brush the outer shells of sausage rolls with egg wash (and the inner seal, too, to keep the contents from falling out).
- With a fork, poke a few holes on top of the pastry.
- Place the rolled sausages onto the greased baking sheet.
- Bake the sausage rolls until they are golden brown and cooked through.
