Is White Chocolate Real Chocolate?
So, is white chocolate actually chocolate?
That’s a question that a lot of people ask and the answer can be a little complicated.
White chocolate is made from cacao beans that are fermented and then roasted. The beans are then ground and pressed to release a substance called cocoa butter.
This cocoa butter is used to make white chocolate. Other ingredients that make up the composition of white chocolate, in addition to cocoa butter, are sugar, dried milk, and vanilla flavor.
In fact, the fatty makeup of cocoa butter is what gives that smooth, velvety texture that we’re all used to when we bite into a good piece of delicious chocolate.
To make dark or milk chocolate, this cacao butter will have to be further processed.

About Callebaut Chocolate
As mentioned previously, possibly one of the most recognized Belgian chocolate brands is called Callebaut.
These are arguably some of the finest chocolate brands around!
Callebaut is a Belgian chocolate brand founded in 1911 by Octaaf Callebaut.
They produce coverture chocolates, which contain high amounts of cocoa butter.
Also, Callebaut chocolates have a particular taste that hasn’t changed in over a few decades.
More specifically, they use a whole bean roasting technique to get their typical taste. Some chocolate manufacturers have been using this technique for over 100 years.
Anyway, Callebaut chocolates are gourmet chocolates and for this reason, many gourmet and culinary professionals like to use this fine Belgian chocolate brand.
